Travel agency franchise – help

My partner and I have been looking for a business that we can run from home. We like the look of a Travel Agency franchise. One company shows very attractive profit potential but we are unable to find anything on the net to back this up. Help Please. Have you, or anyone you know had one of these franchises? If you have what is the real story? All replies treated in confidence. Thank you. Jo

Exactly, most people are savvy enough to do what the travel agents do anyway. If I were looking to go on a foreign holiday I would use flight-comparison sites to check the cheapest airfare, sites such as 'lastminute', 'laterooms' etc. to book my hotel accomodation and bingo!, 2 weeks in the sun for probably 20% less than a travel agent. Simples.

And how many tour operators have gone bust the last few years? Really doesn't seem worth the aggro and competition
