30 something.... what to wear to a gastro pub

I'm off to a so called gastro pub for a meal to celebrate a wedding anniversary.

I'm stuck as what the dickens to wear.

What would you suggest?

It's only a pub, so you could get away with smart jeans, although I would be more inclined to go for trousers and a nice top.

Jeans? Dress and leggings? Just wear whatever you'd normally wear for a meal out.

Who are the couple who are celebrating and who's going? If it's granny and grandad celebrating their Golden Wedding, maybe that justifies more of a "special effort" for example.

Also I'm with Bronnie on the age of the couple.
