There is a clothing place in Lisburn that I use regularly that accepts clothes, shoes and bedding at 60p a kilo. I love putting shoes in because they add a considerable amount of weight to the bag! They weigh the bags in front of you, and if you are in the Lisburn area (inc. Dunmurry etc.) they'll collect and weigh them in their van. PM me if you want their number or address.

I would urge you against using these places at all costs for a number of reasons and things I heard from people who used them.
One person was telling me today they brought 6 large bags to one of these shysters and received £12. I’m not sure of the weight but she said they only expected very good quality currently fashionable clothing.
A single pair of shoes weighs about 1.5 kg. You would be getting 90p for them.
I know this is maybe not the forum for this (not very money saving) but on average every 10kg bag you donate to a charity shop makes them roughly £30. You will be lucky to get £6.00. Everything the charity shop does not sell gets sold to these clothing collectors. They get more than £6.00 again for the 10kg having sold the “good stuff”.
These people rip you off. Much better letting the charity sell your shoes for ten times as much.
The charity sector here in Northern Ireland does some fantastic work, especially the smaller local one.0 -

I totally agree with the great work that the charity shops do. But the shoes that I would recycle, are too used for any charity shop to sell. That is why I was seeking another option rather than throwing them in the bin.:beer:0 -
I got rid of a number of well worn shoes and boots recently at one of the clothes4cash shop @60p a kilo. Condition was not an issue.0

Charity shops will care less about the condition that the cash4 places. The shop will eventually sell them to their rag collectors for more than 60p a kilo anyway (if not sold in the shop).
All it takes is the charity shop to sell 1 pair and they are doing much better that you can expect from these shysters for a whole bag full.
As I say you'll be lucky to get 60p a pair. The shop might sell for 3-4 pounds.
For a few pounds in my pocket, when a charity shop could make £20+ I think they'll get much more value from my old shoes.
I also known shops that give some things away to local people who are really in need. Best to cut out the profit seeking middle me in this.
Just my opinion.0
