OMG: washing machine SANG to me !

Options
How many of your gadgets "sing" or "play a ditty" or "whistle" to tell you when they have finished?

They never used to... or did they?

Just replaced our 26 year old washing machine and the new one plays a little tune to tell us it has finished, as well as LED with "end" displayed.
:rotfl:

Come to think of it most things now beep.
:D

I think I would pay more to have a silent appliance tbh. I feel grumpy enough about having to do housework without some cheery little machine singing at or talking to me in the morning. It would bring out my axe murderer tendencies.

I think it's a great idea, one that could predict how long the wash will take would be even better!

It'd be more use if it'd load itself, help itself to washing powder, and switch itself on!:rotfl:

Mine "cheeps" when it's finished, as does the bread maker; I'm glad of it, as I'm often lying down resting when they finish (oh the joys of having lupus!) and it alerts me that they need my attention.:o

    Ours does that :D

Tells you when you choose the cycle ... then counts down when on the cycle telling you what stage its at as well ... rinse/spin/wash etc

You can also programme the cycle you want and when you want it to come on so that you can run it during cheaper hours of electricity :) e.g. put the stuff in and programme it to come on in the early hours so that the cycle finishes just as you get up so you can hang it straight away :)

my two year old washing machine does a little ditty when its finished - the first time I heard it I asked OH if he had changed the ringtone on his moby! I am used to it now, but visitors tend to ask me if I am going to answer that! lol
