I wasn't sure where to post this so mods please do move it if you think it would be more appropriate elsewhere or remove it if you think it completely out of turn.
DD (aged 12) is very much into learning about financial matters and aims to be an IFA and freelance journalist when she's older. Anyway, she has put together a little site to try to explain a bit about finances to young children and would be interested in your feedback or any idea's you may have for her to add to it.
If you've got a couple of minutes spare we'd both appreciate it if you'd take a look and let us know what you think.
I've put the link in my profile.

Awww - bless! That's brilliant. I'm really impressed with the work that has gone into that.
My 10 year old is getting into finances. As it's aimed at children, I'll get him to have a read and pass on what he thinks!
We could raise a whole generation of mini-Martins you know
Here I go again on my own....0 -
Your daughter is a star!
That's a great little site - I would be a very proud parent if my daughter had put so much effort into such a worthwhile, intelligent and thoughtful site!
 (soft drink of course) to your daughter!!0 -
Thank you both. Becles, it would be great to hear what your ds thinks of it, or if he's got any idea's of what else would be good to add. She also wondered if it might be an idea to add a page for idea's for children to earn money and if anyone has an idea not already up they could email her it for inclusion.
Personally I am happy to see her beaming away at "her site"

It's a brilliant site, I'm guessing as well that she made the site herself, in which case can I borrow her so i can learn web design! Seriously, it's fantastic! it's also a wonderful idea to put ideas on how kids can earn extra money, as I don't have kids I wouldn't have a clue how kids do earn money nowadays, but I guess the usual stuff like paper-round (do papers still get delivered these days?!)
But you should be very proud of her! Congratulations, good to see young people learning finances from a young age, as I'm guessing things like that aren't taught in schools these days, it was when I was at school and I'm only 36!0 -

Thank you. She's actually home educated so can work on her interests in finance as much as she likes - there are worse things in life to be interested in I suppose
Having said that, two of my other children are school age (13 yr old in Grammar school and 7 yr old in Juniors) and neither of them have ever been taught anything about day to day finances. I do think schools should incorporate learning about personal finance into their curriculum.
