Difference between No7 foundation and tinted moisturiser

I have both of these and can't see a difference. I have a voucher so don't know which one to get next. Has anyone tried either of these?

In theory a foundation is NOT a moisturizer, you should put a moisturizer first (as a base) and then the foundation on top. The tinted moisturizer has both things in one (and also SPF i believe..)

A foundation will offer you more coverage than a tinted moisturiser and you will have a more made-up look with a it. I personally prefer tinted moisturiser but intend to switch to foundation as I get older!

I'd assume that the tinted moisturiser would have less coverage too?

Yes, coverage is much less or none at all.. the idea is just to give a bit of colour, not coverage....

I'm 47 and have moved from foundation to tinted moisturiser - it shows up the wrinkles less! I found foundation looked far too heavy around the eye area whereas the tinted moisturiser avoided making me looking even more wrinkly. I also find as I've got older my skin is less affected by the spots, blotches etc that I used to have, so although it has lines it has a more even appearance if that makes sense

You seem underwhelmed by these products; they don't seem to be doing what you want.

Take your time round the beauty counters with a specific brief to the SA as to what you are looking for, getting different products actually applied and going away to see how they endure and if they suit you.

Time and money is too precious to waste on products that don't please :D
