Be careful which screws/coachbolts you use. Although thicker screws/coachbolts look more substantial the wood they are fitted onto is weakened if the screws are too big. I believe the rule of thumb is that the width of the screw shouldn't be any more than 25% of the size of the wood and should be installed centrally on the wood to preserve the strength of the wood.
