gettingmarried website help

Options
Hi everyone

I just wondered, is anyone using www.gettingmarried.co.uk as host for their wedding website?

My fiance and I have set ours up but have just noticed that there is now a password protect on the RSVP day guests section. We haven't set this up and aren't aware of what the password is (and our invites have now been printed!!!).

Does anyone know how to turn this off? I have emailed gettingmarried but got no response as yet and according to their website help page all our site is open to all and not password protected !!!

Thanks
Vanessa

  • I have the same problems with the website, it's not the easiest to get around.

After having an investigation (I took our password off a few weeks ago ad it took ages to figure out where to go to sort it all out!)

You need to go into your site in edit mode (go to https://www.gettingmarried.co.uk and put your log in details in)

Go to 'Organising Wedding' on the tool bar at the top and click on 'RSVP Online'. That should give you all the options you are looking for.

I love my gettingmarried website but it is hard trying to navigate round.

One area for password setting is:

    Log on to your account.
On the very first page where it says welcom X and Y you have a huge list of 'how to use gettingmarried.co.uk' and the first options is 'choose your level of privacy'.

from this you can password protect (or not) your whole site, certain pages, photos etc so it might be worth looking at that as well.
Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....

    Hiya,

I'm using it & it's been a hugh sucess with everyone. When you log in if you choose the Modify Site tab from the top of the page & then select Password Protect your site, it gives you all the options there. We have the whole site passworded so not really sure how it's managed to add one to a certain bit for you. I've emailed the getting married team before when I had problems & they have always replied in a few days. Maybe try posting in the forum pages on the site, someone there maybe able to help you.

I had the same problem, go to the

    organise wedding tab

    rsvp list

then just leave the password box empty and you won't have to put a password in to rsvp.

Does anyone know how you can delete whole pages and not just pause them? e.g the table plan and the blog?
  • @daisyboo as far as I know you can only pause pages but they won't show up when guests look at them so are effectively deleted. I have been viewing mine as I edit in a different browser to check this.

Thanks everyone - We've managed to get the password off now with your help. :D

Other than that blip we've had a great time with our website. Just need to finish it off now before the invites go out, which means I've got to find a picture I like of me :p

    Thanks again
