Are their any OS threads for severly disabled people like me or is it a question of visiting every thread and reading every post (which is very difficult as you are all super posters
:D:D)
I know how wasteful many things that I buy/do are but I cant manage most of the tricks and advice here as Im a full time powerchair user whos hands dont work very well at all, any advice would be gratefully recieved.

Hi sunnyone,
I'm afraid that there is no specific thread on the Old Style board dedicated to disabled users. There are many disabled MSE members who use this board but as disabilities can be so varied, one thread would be unlikely to fit all.
We do however, have a board that may help:
Disability & Dosh
If you are finding the information on the Old Style board a little bit overwhelming then it might be worth a look at squeaky's guide to searching so that you can look for topics that may be relevant to you:
I searched but couldn't find anything
I hope this helps and I look forward to reading your posts.

I haven't come across any specific threads but I have adapted tips from here for my Mum who is disabled and a few years ago when my right arm was completely out of action for 6 months.
I (and my Mum) use a large sieve which sits across the sink for draining and puree-ing down fruit (jam making). (I still can't lift anything very heavy like a large pot which is full)
We also make use of blenders and food processors, yes they use electricity but we compensate elsewhere (cooking pasta, leave in it boiling water with the lid on the pot but no heat under it it'll still cook the same)
For repairs in clothing etc, wonda-web and glue works just as well as needles and thread
If I think of anymore I'll post themCC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J0 -

I think a lot of us on here still have our own shortcuts and expensive treats that mean we are not OS all the time. I'm sorry I don't have any disability specific hints but I guess if there's something specific that you want to be more OS on we could help you find a way?0
