CCA requsted, received statements, what next?help pls

Options
I requested CCA from DCA regarding a citi account that had been sold to them....an account which does not show on my credit history/report - hence I stopped making token payments. Citi did not contact me at any time to query/request payment until they sold the account.

I contacted the DCA immediately upon receipt of their letter requesting the CCA and explaining it was not on my credit history etc (this was in October 2010). I have now received statements for the account but no CCA.

The same DCA has bought another debt from Egg in my name, again I have requested the CCA and have yet to be provided with it. Again, I am not making payments until they can prove the debt (this one is showing on my credit history) and in the meantime I received a letter from them stating the account would be on hold until they could provide me with the CCA. Few months down the line, upon checking my credit report I see they have increased the balance adding interest on, I have disputed this with them but they have told me just because the account is on hold does not mean they cannot apply interest as I am still liable for the debt, and if I dont like it to complain to the Financial Ombudsman.

Please help, what do I do now for these? Is there a standard letter to send?

BTW- the DCA is Cabot Financial, if anyone has previously had dealings with them?!

Thanks

All the time they do not provide a CCA, the account is in dispute, as they have not fulfilled your sec 77/78 request.

Dca's, including the "great" Cabot cannot add interest and charges unless the original agreement had the provision to do so (which they don't)...and they can't even provide a copy of it anyway.....:D

Ignore their unlawful charges and interest, it's the usual nonsense of them trying it on with those who don't know any better.

so send them default of account letter for the first one as they have not provided the CCA? And is it worth complaining to the financial ombudsman or just leave at the moment as they have not supplied anything, including CCA? Thanks

Just send them the account in dispute letter, due to non compliance with your sec 77/78 request.

I wouldn't bother with the FOS..;)

doubt the fos will look highly of the reason for none payment, after all its even on your report
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

Why do you bother wasting tax payers money with unfounded complaints to the fos?

I work for neither, what I am is someone that pays bills and helps genuine problems not how can I worm out of something I really owe but not enough of an adult to pay.
