Any thing I can do?

I have found an issue on one of my settled accounts on my credit report it has a remark on it with 3 late payments. This was due to moving bank and not having contact details of the company and having to wait for them to call me.
I then paid off the whole account and it has been marked as settled, Is there any thing I can do about this showing on my credit file. Can I write to the company and ask them to remove payment details and just show it has settled? or do I just have to wait it out?

It's only showing what is true.
