I'd say that if you owe a previous lender a large amount of money and also have a mortgage on another property then your chances of getting one in the UK are pretty close to zero. And to be honest I hope you don't, talking of 'mortgaging and keeping the cash' makes it sound like you'd be prepared to default again.
Oh, and by the way, the nation's worst bank is officialy the one that comes from the country you moved to.0 -
