I stayed at the Radisson on the Royal Mile a few years ago and would recommend it - I think it's 4* rather than 5 but it is really comfortable, with excellent facilities in a great location (and they do a very good breakfast).

Just got an Email from Voyage Prive they have a sale on UK hotels and The Missoni Edinburgh is on it seems a good deal and says it is a 70% reduction; The availability looks good too. You would need to check out the price on their website to see if it is as good a deal as it seems. Anyone can join VP and it is free to join.

IF spa facilities and close to Princes street are what you are looking for then I would have to recommend the Sheraton, it has the best spa facilities in edinburgh, overlooks the castle, is less then 5 minutes to princess street.0
