This the Apex one I mentioned (there are two)
  • I stayed at the Radisson on the Royal Mile a few years ago and would recommend it - I think it's 4* rather than 5 but it is really comfortable, with excellent facilities in a great location (and they do a very good breakfast).

There are some offers on their website with bed and breakfast starting at £106

I've wanted to go back ever since!

worked well for us, close enough to see everything by bus, Rosslyn chapel (davinci code or not) is a must. Far enough out to be away, close enough to see all.

For proper 5* you would need to look at somewhere like the Balmoral but that will cost you nearer £200 per night including breakfast.
  • Hi

When I have been looking to stay in one of the cities I have used this guide. I have been to TigerLilley for a meal but not to stay, it was nice.

yes I would stay here as well 5 minutes walk from Princes Street in the High Street{Royal Mile} The Roxburghe is very dated we stayed there after a wedding room was cramped and not very clean £120 for the room, but the entertainment !! went on all night from the drunken eejits pouring out from bars on George Street
please do not pick on me for my grammar,I left school at fifteen and worked in the building trade for 55years ,

IF spa facilities and close to Princes street are what you are looking for then I would have to recommend the Sheraton, it has the best spa facilities in edinburgh, overlooks the castle, is less then 5 minutes to princess street.
