Do Not Buy From Mattressonline!!!!!! I have had a bad experience with these people and reported them to rogue traders and consumer complaints. I ordered a mattress from them and was initially most impressed with their service. They offered free delivery within 2 days. After that it seems to have gone down hill.
The delivery men turned up with the mattress but not having informed me wether it was going to be delivered morning/night I had popped out so the next door neighbour signed for it. The mattress had 2 layers of polythene round it, the outer one which was quite manky. When i opened it there were 2 rips in the underside of the mattress which had not been obvious from the outside. So I phoned them to complain the same day. They said send pictures so I sent pictures on the Monday by email.
They said because I had signed for the mattress as "in good ccondition" and opened it I was not entitled to a replacement or a refund. But these goods are faulty so they should by the distance sellers guide lines take one of these actions. They have now stopped even replying to my emails so I have involved my solicitor and am going to take them to court for the cost of the mattress plus the cost of the legal fees. Its the principle of people thinking they can get a way with things like this. So do not buy from this company, if you have any problems they will not listen and will give you the cold shoulder. I have spoken to consummer complaints and they have given me advice and told me to get back in contact with them if the company refuse to listen as they are in the wrong. I am still awaiting to hear from the mattressonline.
