i have received loads of paperwork to read up on it but wondered if anyone else has invested. pro's and con's ?

Using "SIPP on Cape Verde Island" as a search term in Google reveals numerous companies none of whom appear to be FSA regulated.
It remains a tragedy that the word "investment" can be used at all by entirely unregulated entities.
After all this is why we got to the ostrich scandal in 1995 and a tiny bit further back into the tulip bulb scam of 1690...0 -

The answer to this is extremely simple:
Pro's: Nothing
Con's: Everything
Do not even consider taking this "opportunity".
And in the future, anyone [you do not fully know] approaching you with any form of "Investement" should be dealt with by (a) filing in the wastepaper bin [written], or (b) slame the phone down [telephone]. Not a single 'good' investment opportunity has ever come from unsolicited contacts like this.0
