Hello all, i have a joint account with my wife, i am going bankrupt soon so i will be taking my name of it,
Where is best to get another?
Do i tell them that i am going to be bankrupt?
Will this one get frozen as my wages will be paid into it, and i need them to live off.

Yes, your bank account will more than likely get frozen, but it depends on your bank. It is actually your bank that takes action, and not the official receiver.
You may well be best advised speaking to your bank, as they all have their own policies concerning this, forewared is forearmed!
If it looks like you account will be frozen, there are a number of other banks that offer accounts to Bankrupts, Co-Op, Barclays and Nationwide are the main ones.
You can open an account before you go Bankrupt, however, you cannot guarentee that the new one wont be frozen as well, so you may be best to open an account immediately after you go Bankrupt.10 1p's are better than no 10p's !!! :think:
