• I'm also new to the challenge but need to start trying to get as many NSDs as I can! I think I'll aim for 10 NSDs this month and see how I go, then hopefully next month I may be able to increase the number of days!

there are no silly questions, so don't be afraid to ask us anything!

I'm sure i have plenty of silly questions, but please bare with me :o

1) Is it too late to join?
2) Don't think i will include DD as these have to be paid anyway, is that ok?
3) My problem is a see a bargain somewhere and think i just HAVE to have it, when in theory i don't need it at all. So i think if i set myself up for this challenge then it might stop me from doing this. Does anyone else use the challenge like that? Or am i totally reading it wrong?:o
4) Can i start with just 10 NSD's if its not too late?

I'm currently obsessed with making money on the £10 a day challenge so really need a new challenge to stop me from spending it and paying off my debt!

Thanks for reading...You all sound like a great bunch of people! :D

Hi everyone

Well, it's Friday, and you know what that means.... time for a wiggle:D

Come on.. join in (especially you, jinty, after your Zumba class:D)

200z2xl.gif200z2xl.gif200z2xl.gif

I'll be back later to do a mega-roundup, BDINI is off this weekend and has asked me to cover for her, so you've got me back again for a couple of days:D:D

See you all later

spoon xx

PS: Welcome to all the newbies who've joined up yesterday and today. We're a friendly, if sometimes slightly deranged:D, bunch, so pull up a chair and make yourselves at home.

Any questions, please just ask, or have a read of the post If puts up at the top of each page, there are lots of suggestions in there.

Hope this helps
spoon x

PPS: CountingPennies and FrugalLiving, yes, of course it's OK for you both to join and it's not too late - we had someone join the August challenge on 29 August, so it's never too late :D
:) The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time :)

HI BEANIE LOU:wave:
Woo-ooo..Beee-neee! Thanks for my welcome back too x

....couldn't of got this far without this thread i can read and share ideas and tips on latest prices people post....D'you know, I reckon this is one of the best threads for that. With the sheer volumn of threads on this site, no one person could possibly follow every post so it's great we can pick each others brains here. YOU ALL ARE MY FRIENDS AND VERY HELPFUL AND KIND TOO :A ((HUG!HUG!HUG!)) Handbags in the middle girls & all join in with Sly. Ready? We-are-fam-ill-eee! I/god/awl/mae/sisstaswi'meee....*jigs on the spot & throws arms round Hubert*
Always there just at the right time yes big mamma that means you your funny posts cheer me up when things not so good :T Bless you. I'm the sort of person who can usually find a funny side to things; it doesn't solve the problem but lightens the load a bit x
....while kids are out they said something about a croc trail oh well as long as they enjoy it thats allthat matters....
There's a pub near-by--well, about 3 miles--that sells things like zebra & ostriche, so I was going to ask how to cook it; roast? bake? casserole? Then I read it again & saw t R a i l
Thinking about your month of birthdays, could you begin your baking marathon now-ish & freeze some, to help spread the cost & the work-load, even if it was only 6 muffins at a time while cooking the dinner...
hey all
just reporting I have had a spendy day today - but I had to as received a call this morning offering me a job and I start next week!! After not working for the best part of 2 years I am nervous and excited - but if I'm working I have less time to spend !!!!
xhen x
WOW! :T Grats! Understandable why nsds were the last thing on your mind :D Seriously tho, I do hope everything is good for you from here on in.

>>Some ideas for Lunches (among other things) folks, are in the list of threads in BDINI's opening post. How to cook bacon joints for slicing into ham, a change from curled up sarnies, homemade sweets & cereal bars..give 'em a look.
There's always a ma-hoosiff list of recipes at the beginning of the Grocery Challenge every month if you're stuck in a rut, & plenty of make-your-own gifts for whatever occasion.<<

I think we should include at least one hospital along with several home visits for our patients this month. Spoon always has a stash of felt tips, so we can all sign plaster casts..although that may be a little difficult if it's on a little toe  ..but no matter! We'll just write smaller :D
There's a BirdMan Rally coming up soon so we should start working on the plans for our entries, & sort outfits for Goodwood Revival. (For those who may be experiencing the dubious pleasure of sharing friendly banter with my person for the first time, you will quickly realise that Mumma & 'feminine' do not sit well together
naturally ;) )

I'm just blethering really, to try & disguise being thwarted on my first outing by a measley £2:77
:angry:Darn those pesky kids! I wudda gotten away with it if they hadn't needed a-feedin'

I'm sure i have plenty of silly questions, but please bare with me :o

1) Is it too late to join? Nope! You know what they say about better being late than never. Shift up Beanie; I know you're struggling with your poota but we've newbies to sit...
2) Don't think i will include DD as these have to be paid anyway, is that ok? Yep! Your Challenge, Your Rules. I've been doing this for a fair few years & I still don't include DDs & the like :)
3) My problem is a see a bargain somewhere and think i just HAVE to have it, when in theory i don't need it at all. So i think if i set myself up for this challenge then it might stop me from doing this. Does anyone else use the challenge like that? Yep..omg Yep :o ..my biggest reason for staying with it. Or am i totally reading it wrong? Nope. Give yourself a couple of months on here & you'll find out all sorts of things about your shopping habits that you've never noticed before. You take whatever suits you from the Challenge; again, most of us find the 'rules' evolve along with us as the days go by.
4) Can i start with just 10 NSD's if its not too late? Yep! 10, 2 27..tizz up to you m'dear.

I'm currently obsessed with making money on the £10 a day challenge so really need a new challenge to stop me from spending it and paying off my debt! If you're doing other Challenges (as most of us are), you can choose whether to include or exclude those too. Some folk won't count grocery spends providing they don't go over their proposed budget for the month, while others don't count the pay £10 a day. It really is up to you how you formulate your plan of action, but we'll be here to chew the cud if you get stuck ;)

Thanks for reading...You all sound like a great bunch of people! :D
I'll remind you of saying that, after our next outing :rotfl:
I've been on this site for *wiggles fingers over lips* blurble-blurble years & I still ask questions. We are all mates here, so feel free to join in the madness as well as the moneysaving :D

If it's OK with yooze, I'll leave the dance with Moo as my contribution to today's FW (Friday Wiggle); I've to save some dance moves for No2's b'day groove tomorrow & I'm almost out of petroleum jelly to do me windmills on the bathroom floor :o

• Can I set a target of 20 NSDs for this month please? :j

Reporting NSD No1 for today :money:
Not buying unnecessary toiletries 2024 26/53 UU, 25 IN
• I thought today would be a spend day as I thought DDs would be coming out but they haven't so now I must make sure I don't spend any money.

I'm going to declare today as NSD 1 now so I can't spend anything. I'm doing a MS tonight and was going to go and have a look around a few shops but now I've declared hopefully I'll be able to stop myself. ( I don't want to be told off!)
Aug NSDs: 18/[STRIKE]6 [/STRIKE] [STRIKE]15[/STRIKE] 18
Sep NSDs: 16/15
Oct NSDs: 16/15
Nov NSDS: /18
I'm a newbie so if I do something wrong or don't do something please let me know so I can learn. :o
