Hi folks,
Does anyone have any suggestions for phone line package etc for calling mobiles in the republic from a landline? Mr Batcat's family all live in the south & only one of them has a landline. I've been watching our bills go up & up with despair. We are with utv. Tried to switch to o2 but they made a major mess of it so wouldn't touch them again.
Thanks!

one of the cheapest is 18185 from your landline, doesn't matter who is your provider
1p to Eire landline
9p to Eire Mobile
(4p connection charge)
Just open an account with your credit card
and in a few minutes prefix the Eire number with 18185
so it will be 18185 00 353 ***********
http://www.18185.co.uk/index2.php
No fixed charges so if you find a better deal just stop using the prefix

As far as i know, BT class the calls to Southern Ireland as national (if NI based)
Therefore if you get a BT package that includes national calls, this will include RoI.
Alternatively, the post office, offer free international calls at weekends to 40 countries (including RoI)
Another option is using your mobilem if your with vodafone, you can add a £5 bolt on to it allowing 200 mins to RoI.
Hope this helpsWeight loss challenge, lose 15lb in 6 weeks before Christmas.0
