Changed My Life - Thank You

Hello everybody,
I just thought that I'd let you know that I think I am well and truly over my bad spending habits and committed totally to becoming debt free.
Yesterday I had to go into town to pay some cheques in, get a few bits and pieces (mainly wrapping paper for a party present) and also do my food shopping. I made a list of items needed (after planning meals for the rest of the month using mostly items from freezer/storecupboards etc) and off I went. :rotfl:
I stuck to my list totally and did not spend money on anything other than what was needed - result!!!!
My little girl and I also made a birthday card out of bits we had lying around and help with computer graphics to take to her party and I used as a present a set which was free with an xmas gift for another child so that did'nt cost me a penny. Also made gift tag out of left over wrapping paper and bit of card so saved money there.
I have also just watched a craft outlet show on QVC (my old weakness - know I should'nt but just wanted to test my resolve) and although there were some real bargains on the show I was'nt even tempted to reach for the phone and order. :j
Thank you all so much for your help - I feel like a new woman and am sleeping much easier at night knowing that we are almost debt free.
Thanks again - I never thought I had so much willpower!!!
I'm aiming to make an additional £100 from just me to go towards debts this month (seeing as I'm a stay at home mum and pregnant I think this is a realistic and substantial target so fingers crossed - I'm starting ebaying again now as all other listings have come to a close - made £29 so far on ebay so I'm keeping trying)

You go for it!
theres nothing better than this feeling - Im some way away from that, as it now comes so naturally :A
eg I bought mate a card from next clearance for 50p and her pressie in the sale for 1.26 and I begrudged that! I had wrapping paper roll left over from in the woolies sale last year which does for all kinds
taking control rules:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
I've been like this for two years now, I love it i feel like i had been brianwashed to spend, spend, spend for years and now i have been deprogrammed. I went to the Trafford Centre(not been for 2 years) with some gift vouchers. People were buying arm fulls of clothes from the sales none of them looking happy at all more like stressed i now see consumerisum in a whole new light BRAINWASHING. I came home with a box of X-mas crackers for 80p reduced from £9.99 and two boxes of x-mas card 25p each now put away for nest time lol:)0
