I got mine from the co-op in their sales and they are definetely worth their weight in gold, they have never leaked whatsoever, easy for the kids to open and manage and are used for a hundred and one different things.
Your one must have a fault to it as there has never been a leakage as they are renowned for that and people buy them for that reason.
I am sure that lakeland will help you and give you another one, good luck xxx0 -
Been searching the forums and everyone seems to rave over them.
Now because I am cooking from scratch mostly and trying to freeze at least 2 portions from the meal (cook for 8 but only feed 6) I need something to freeze these in.
Do I go slightly over budget this month and buy the 22 piece set from QVC (approx £37) which saves loads compared to lakeland individual prices or buy a couple of pieces a month and spend more in the long run??
Also need them to send packed lunches to school/work in.em x

I don't think I would ever use that many, have bought similar ones (work same way) from Instore and Julain Graves recently. One day I might be more organised...........

Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
I dont have those stores near me, Crewe is pants for shopping
I would probably use them all
to put butties in, salad and a desert for packed lunches would use 9 containers
to keep salad ready prepared in the fridge so i have no excuse of not having time to slice it to use it.
to fill the freezer.
got flour, rice, lentils, dried fruit etc that need containers as i am sick of the spilling when the bags split.em x

I have loads and loads of them, which I have bought piecemeal. I wish I had bought the QVC package at the onset. Have to say that I am sometimes still tempted - I'm not sure that I could ever have too many. It means that some can be in the dishwasher, some in the freezer, some left at school!!!, some storing sugar and flour etc., some being used for packed lunches, etc. etc. etc.0

I agree, I wouldn't use that many.
In fact, I only use two types of Lock&Lock-style container - the oblong ones around a litre in volume, which are the right size for "home made ready meals" to be frozen and reheated in the microwave, and then I also use slightly deeper square ones (870ml I think - or is it 780?) for portions of soup.
Because the QVC set is assorted and I only ever use two types, it would be a waste of money. I've been stocking up whenever I have a John Lewis voucher (the square ones I use for soup are £2.50 each).Operation Get in Shape

Would they be brought home from school.
I have bought some Tub-its from tesco for everyday packed lunch things.
I got my klip and lock ones from Morrisons.

I love Lock & lock but only use a couple of large ones for flour and cereal storage. I think that, for freezing and lunches the disposable plastic tubs with lids from Costco are much better value - you get 100 for around a fiver inc VAT and I use them for everything. They hold enough for one large portion of a complete meal (like stew or curry and rice), soup, pasta, or two portions of something like just curry without rice, or stewed fruit or just rice on its own. You can fit a sandwich and biscuit in for lunches and if they forget them its not a problem, plus they are microwave, freezer and dishwasher safe so you can re-use them loads of times.Jane

I use mine for all sorts....storing baking basics, putting HM cakes and biscuits in, freezing whole meals, storing left overs [small ones really useful here], HM yogurt for packed lunches, ...seems like I will never have enough. They are so sturdy and don't seem to stain like cheaper ones do....I LOVE THEMWe don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.0
