Hi all,
I hoping some of you experts can help me!
I have a defaulted account showing on my Equifax credit report. The satisfaction date was 24 Aug 2005. Now I know that after six years it 'should' drop off.
Today, my excitement overcame me and I quickly purchased an updated Equifax report. My big smile was soon turned upside down when I saw it was still on my report.
I have written to Equifax about it but I was just wondering if anyone can advise why it would still be showing?? Other accounts did drop off after six years but this one seems stuck!!
Hope you can help and many thanks indeed.
Chris

equifax frequently take some time to update so there is a delay with them coming off your file. seems normal for them
it should come off but may take up to a week or so0 -
The rest of the credit reference agencies seem to drop off bang on six years but Equifax for some reason take an extra eleven days.
When I spoke to Equifax they said the software can take eleven days for it to be removed and it did take eleven days but it annoyed me because it should go bang on six years.I'm not poor i'm just skint0 -
I have a similar issue with Equifax not dropping my single remaining default yet. This is causing my a problem because I have promised my remaining creditors that I would try to refinance by the end of August and I can't do that while the default remains.0
