E31/1/07 Win a £13,800 wine cellar

Plus £5,000 worth of wine! This is my kinda comp!

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/arts/main.jhtml;?view=CAMPAIGN&grid=A1NoGoogle&pg=/ETHtml/content/promotions/2006/12/18/wine/index.jhtml

Be the envy of all your friends with this sophisticated and functional purpose-built wine cellar, valued at £13,800.

The two-metre deep cellar will store up to 1,000 bottles and will be fully installed by Spiral Cellars in the ground floor of your property*.

Only a subtle trapdoor will point to its existence, which can be custom designed to complement the flooring and décor of your home.

The Spiral Cellar's clever design and airflow system means your wine will be kept under ideal storage conditions and no power is required to maintain its constant temperature.

This fabulous prize is perfect if you're a wine connoisseur or just beginning to collect wine, as Lay & Wheeler will kick-start your cellar with a selection of fine wines from around the globe, valued at approximately £5,000. Lay & Wheeler have been supplying fine wine to discerning drinkers across the world since 1854.

Isn't it just. We'd have fun fitting one of those here, - when we built the house, we put in a huge tank to use the rain water in the house. We found that when digging out the sand was caving in as fast as we were digging out. Anyway, got the tank in eventurally, but let it run dry one winter, and it partly collapsed before it refilled.

Think they'd have fun here too, we're on a big fat piece of concrete because of all the salt-mining that went on underground around here.

If you can't accomodate the cellar you can't have the wine:rolleyes:

    - A site survey will be conducted to assess the suitability of the proposed property for the cellar installation. If Spiral Cellars Limited conclude that the proposed property is not suitable for the installation of a cellar, we reserve the right to refuse installation of the cellar. The winner will have the opportunity of proposing an alternative property. If not suitable, another winner will be selected and the initially selected winner will forfeit the right to receive the whole of the prize, including the selection of wines from Lay & Wheeler Limited.
    - Spiral Cellars Limited will assist the winner in obtaining Building Regulations Approval. If planning permission or listed buildings approval is required, Spiral Cellars Limited will also assist but the winner will be required to pay the associated extra costs. If these approvals are required but not obtained for whatever reason then Spiral Cellars Limited reserve the right to refuse installation of the cellar. The winner will have the opportunity of proposing an alternative property. If not suitable, another winner will be selected and the initially selected winner will forfeit the right to receive the whole of the prize, including the selection of wines from Lay & Wheeler Limited.
