Is there anything we can do (other than giving them a wide berth, telling others too avoid, and waving two fingers) to report them????

I am so glad I didn't fall for them as was tempted like others.

It's impotant to stress that at this stage we only have suspicions. Whilst I wouldn't deal with them other people may choose to, in which case they'd be well advised to use a credit card. We can't report them for being suspicious, only when it's proved that they're fraudulent.
