ok I see, but still.... Where my OH works they fit garage doors, one of the blokes was in the back of the van getting some bits out when someone jumped in the front and took the sat nav, so these people can be pretty ruthless. Anyhoo, I think your best bet is with house insurance cos like others said they really dont bat an eyelid bout relatively small claims (as this would be).0

I have to admit, I have an ipod wired into my stereo, and its wired via the glovebox. I have a tendancy to just get out of the car and forget about it because its hidden away, out of sight out of mind and all that.
I do take the satnav with me because I can see it so I remember it. I think I need to start remembering the ipod as well...0 -
mr_xmas wrote:Hi yes they was left in my car BUT NOT ON SHOW,THEY WAS IN MY GLOVEBOX.
it seems that in this pitiful excuse of world we live in it's becoming common practive to leave your glove box open when not in the car so our next generation, who have nothing better to do, don't waste their time looking as they can see they wil get squat. Personally i think we should hang, draw and quarter thieves but hell what do i know, i'm only a lawyer0 -
In MY CASE it is worse for me -As i have not told the whole story-
I saw & got my hands on the person whom had broken into my car while he was doing it.
As yu can imgine i was(am very angry) As i had hold of this guy i could of killed/harmed him. After a little struggle i had to let my grip go cos if i had persued what i was about to do I WOULD OF SPENT CHRISTMAS IN ONE OF OUR JAILS.!!!!
I GOT MY THOUGHT TOGETHER TO SAY TO MYSELF 'DON'T'
As in the eyes of the law i would now become the bad person whom had just broken into my car, caused damage stole items etc.
As i might see why i have so much anger over this etc.I phoned the police to be told -is anyone hurt, injured etc,i told them no.(where my car was there is a local police staion not more than 3mins away)i had a call from a another station which is approx 2omins drive time away. The police said to me that the team that will deal with this are not on and they would phone me on Monday (guess what i had to call them on the THURSDAY so ask why has no one called me,told that they had alot to deal with over the weekend etc)
I knew i am/was not going to get any joy via reporting it to the police - But as a measure for my own good i knew i had to report it etc.which is what i had to do over a phone.
As you might see i have many issue's with this claim,.
We as a country are failing all over the place.(Not that my small claim is going to put it right).£2008 in 2008 member 519 feb 08 sony mp3 player.

How dare you?
You violated that little scroats human rights. You could have been sued for false arrest, assault, loss of immoral and illegal earnings, hurt feelings, trauma etc etc etc.
Or you could have kicked the living sh*t out of him and claimed that you felt that your life was in danger and were retaliating.
Either way you would have been in the wrong and should have offered to assist in the breaking of the door, held the door open whilst the theft was going on, offered your mobile phone and music collection, offered tea and scones and exchanged Christmas cards. You should have then rang the Home Secretary and explained how the crime rate had just fallen in your area and nominated the thief for a luxury safari holiday in Kenya. Instead of this you only think about yourself........0 -
Was he one of your off springs?
