I know the old Abbey (now Santander) and Barclays were 2 high st lenders who would loan in euros.
Restrictive LTVs at circa 65% - 70% - to take account of currency flutuations.
HSBC do offer an overseas mge service inc Spain & Canaries - they use Solbank to facilitate the mortgage, with referral directly through HSBC (pop into your local branch for more details and a referral).

Why do you want to buy a "hole" in spain ?
Please use a english speaking solictor, and be very carefull as many people trying to sell in spain market is slow0 -
