When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
Morning guys & happy weekend :j La E I'm not feeling too either have been feeling pretty rough all week. Went out last night but by 9.30 I'd decided it was enough for me & went home to bed!
Its gonna be a fairly restful weekend I feel...

I'm reading "The long story" by Andrea Levy, about slavery times in Jamaca. I've wanted it for ages (its on my list of 20 books to read on my 101 list) but there is a queue of about 90 ppl at the library ( I kid you not!) and then the other week my lovely oh bought it for me from his survey gift cert. He loves meDF as at 30/12/16

Morning all - I didn't wake up until 9am - that's the middle of the day for me usually!
I did a have a dog walk meet up with a new group planned at lunchtime but the weather is not looking brilliant and the dog hates the rain so I'll give it another hour and then decide whether to go or not.
Other things to do today....- Pop to supermarket and greengrocers for bits for the week - hoping to spend no more than £15
- Have a LSD other than the groceries
- Watch Ireland v England rugby match (come on Ireland - I am Welsh!)
- Clean the bathrooms
- Do some schoolwork, didn't do anything yesterday and HAVE to do some today
- All food from stores
- Stay in tonight and watch a recorded movie
- Do one load of washing and dry naturally
- Look at work clothes and find things that may need mending, washing, dry cleaning etc

Evening All,
How are we all today????
I've had a really expensive day today - but most of the expense can be reclaimed on expenses on Tuesday, so all good.
Today I have/will:
- Meals from stores
- Read paper online
- Used cash weherever possible
- Checked online banking
- Checked for surveys
- Had an eye test and bought new glasses....did treat myself to the optical eye photo thingamy but bought cheaper frames from Specsavers as Boots had a very small £79 range (and I got 2 pairs for £69)
- Resisted any additional coatings etc on the glasses
- Bought textbooks for college course at Waterstones via Quidco - company get charged full amount (£115 ), and I think the cashback is going to be about £8
- Replaced my missing library card and finally paid the late fee from a couple of months ago
- Bought the bare minimun stationary for college - will have to sort out the other things I need
- Resisted going out for a drink with hubby - needed to have an afternoon nap
- Taking pills etc for hormones
- Night in with hubby watching bits on the sky box
- Need to catch up on here
- Put money on my phone in Boots as there was a points event
- Put change into coke bottle
- Put odd pennies into ISA
- Drink plenty of water
- Having leftovers for dinner tonight - bought a £3 lasagne from Iceland yesterday (was't in the mood to cook) which had 4 portions in it...made it stretch to 6 = 2 meals for the three of us!
- Will list a phone case on ebay
Think that is about it
Love to you all x
