Offer to clear the full balance if they'll repair the damage they've done to my credit history, failing that i'll clear it and put in a complaint to the office of fair trading for 4 breaches.

It's been a learning experience for both of us.

i think you will find this is the reason your post was met in a manner which you did not like. it was apparent right from the start of your post where this was going

they didnt do any damage to your credit history

YOU failed to make the payments, now whether they wrote to you, phoned you, showed up on your doorstep with a pink monkey, YOU still failed to make the payments. YOU still damaged youyr credit history

Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

THEY didn't respond to the CAB, THEY didn't send out 6 monthly notice of arrears, THEY didn't send out a yearly statement of accounts, THEY made no attempt to contact me regarding arrears at any point, THEY chose to run their company in a haphazard manner, THEY choose to break the rules, THEY chose to open themselves up to complaints over breaches of the CCA and ICO guidelines. Frankly, THEY can kiss my hairy !!!!.
