I have the same problem, and before anyone else suggests it 'more sleep' just doesn't help!

I'm using a mineral concealer from ELF at the moment, it is light, suits my colouring and doesn't break the bank.

If you are thinking of trying it hold on a while as they have promised a discount code over the BH weekend.

I'm assuming you're fairly young but would just the make the comment that if you are older you need to be careful as you don't want anything too heavy. I'm 47 and some concealers just sit in the fine lines under my eyes and make them look horrendous...and they dont always deal with the dark circles either!

Dehydration exaggerates this...drinking lots of water does help and how much will depend on other factors

Depends on how bad they are; Bobbi Brown do a set where you use a neutraliser (called the corrector) to stop the blue showing through, then you layer on top a brightening concealer. It's not cheap but it's very effective. I think they've recently brought out a kit with both those concealers in it so it's worth having a mooch on www.bobbibrown.co.uk
Never argue with an idiot; they'll bring you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

.........and well worth getting yourself down to their counter and having it applied. Don't conside buying there and then, tell them you want to see how it wears. It is very good though, not cheap as fabsascha said, but will last for ages.

anything yellow toned will help to neutralise the blue. As a fellow sufferer of dark circles I don't cover them completely with concealer as this can look really obvious but I use concealer in the inner corners of my eyelid (top and bottom) and find that this brightens up my eye area detracting from the circles.

If you google tear troughs there is interesting stuff on what can be done surgically or fillers, not that I am suggesting that the poster needs anything so extreme, but this is a new treatment for some long term sufferers.
