Royalty-free means that you don't have to pay royalties to the photographer/artist to use the photos/graphics in your designs once you've paid for them - it doesn't mean the images themselves are free.

This is a freebie board so the post may be better off somewhere else.....

In any case, here is a website with free, copyright free images. The site is membership, it doesn't cost, but they offer both free and premium images. A great database though.

Why is it important to seek out truly free images rather than taking them randomly off Google Images? Because someone owns the copyright to that image, they took time and effort to create it, it's up to them to grant you a licence to use it. So this site is worth a try
