Buy a sofa from scs - discount for cash?

Hi

Just wanted to know if anyone has managed to get a discount on buying a sofa from scs using cash instead of paying by the 4 years 0% deal?

Was looking at a sofa at a price of £995 and was wandering what discount they would give you?

Has anyone hagled and been in the same situation.

Would be interested to know what savings people have tried and made.

Many Thanks

ps: Hope this is in the right topic, if not please move.

Thanks

We bought a £2000 sofa for cash, a couple of weeks ago. We got free delivery and £50 knocked off. Not much I know, but the sofa was a really good price anyway.

  • see what other shops are offering- take in their ads, and a wad of cash, ask for price match, 2for1 etc..?

if you dont ask, dont get!

I thought they made their money through the 0% finance by having relatively high prices with no real discount for cash. The 0% finance is an illusion.

    Hi,

When we visited the showroom a few weeks back, the sales advisor said if you pay by cash they would give a discount.

Thats why I wanted to know if anyone has had a discount paying with cash.

Will be going back to shop tmoz and see what discount they can offer on a corner setee.

Would you have the sette on 0% finance or pay cash?
I want to pay over 4 years but my wife wants to pay cash.:silenced:

I would pay over 4 years,If you have any issues with the furniture, the extra clout of a finance company not getting paid is helpfull,;)

put your money into a savings account or an ISA, pay over 4 years out of this by directdebit. Once yu set it up, you can forget about it.

I bet the interest on it will be higher than the discount they will give yu
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

Just to let you all know.

Went to the shop today and the salesman would only offer a discount of £50 for a settee costing £995.

So, decided to take up the interest free option paying over 30 months instead of 48 months.

Would not give any discount on the settee when paying by finance..

    thanks
