My wife is due to lose her part time job in a few weeks and as we have to children under the age of 4 the money will obviously be missed!!!
Her friend currently organises body shop parties and is making fairly good money from only an inital £80 outlay and has recommended she contemplate
taking it on herself
Has anbody any experience of this??
All good/bad feedback more than welcome.
Many thanks

I used to work for the Body Shop at Home. Great if you have a young family as you fit it in when you want to. I earnt quite a lot out of it, and enjoyed doing it, but after 18 months, to be honest, novelty wore off a bit and it was becoming a bit of a chore. We also decided to move house and I had loads of kit which was taking up a lot of space in the house (some people just leave their kit in the car, but I couldnt do that as we only have 1 car and hubby needed it too). You do get to keep your kit, and I still use a lot of the stuff I won, or got for free. Sometimes the kit is on special offer (I got mine for half price - £35 at the time). Its good fun, and a great way to earn a bit of extra money - on a good night, I could come home with £100 profit (you get 25% of sales, plus any raffle money covers petrol, p&p on orders, host shopping etc). I'd say if she is thinking about it, go for it - I'm really glad I did it - its something I had been wanting to try for ages. And one day, I may go back to it - now is not the right time for me though. I had 2 recruits under me and I earnt 2% off their earnings each month. If she wanted to take it further and become an area manager, you earn 5% from your team - I'm sure my manager earnt about £800 per month before she even walked out of the door herself!!
Of course, there are other party plans...Pampered Chef, Virgin Vie, Partylites candles - any of these do the same sort of thing. I was just really interested in skincare and makeup and I loved the BS stuff. One of my friends loves cooking and is a Pampered Chef consultant - get her to go for something she'd like to get in to, rather than what her friend does (can go either way - gets loads of advice and help as she will in effect be her "recruit".....or her friend could already have an established circle of BS hosts if she lives in your area... I was one of the only BS consultants in my area when I first started off, and I have to say that went in my favour as hardly anyone had had any before).

Hello jozvaldo
Your thread should get more views and responses in the 'Benefits, Tax Credits & Jobseeking' board, so I'll move it across.
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email !!!!!!.
