CCCS or PAYPLAN?

Hope I'm posting this thread in the right place. I'm a newbie so please bear with me. I've been browsing for a few days and have got some excellent advice and it's made me face up to my problems instead of burying my head in the sand.
Basically, I've been in debt for a number of years with a loan and 2 major credit cards. My debt was reducing significantly up until a couple of years ago when my mum was diagnosed with cancer and I had to reduce my hours at work to care for her. I then started to use my credit cards again just to pay for living expenses. My debt now totals £18500.
I tried to get a loan but my wage is too low at the moment even though my credit rating is high. Over the last couple of months I've missed a couple of payments and don't want the situation getting any worse. The advice on here seems to suggest a DMP may be the solution for me. I've contacted PAYPLAN and they say I would qualify for their help. I know that CCCS are also recommended on here.
I'd just like to know which one to go with. I'm scared of making the wrong choice. I'm totally embarrassed about the situation I've got myself into which is why I've rabbited on a bit. Any advice would be very much appreciated.

CCCS as they're free, Payplan charge a fee for their services - and from what I've read, CCCS do a better job.. :]"I once grumbled at having no boots - until I met a man with no feet" Anon

Payplan do not charge for administering their DMP please give people seeking advice the correct advice. As to which is best I looked at both and decided upon Payplan. In fact in my situation Payplan were more generous with necessary expenses.
You will be fine with either of them and it will be a matter of personal choice.
There is nothing stopping you talking to both companies and you will then be able to make an informed decision as to which company to go with.0 -
Talk to them both & then decide which suits you best.Try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud.0
