Need to raise capital from equity

Please could someone advise me. Have equity in property however need to raise some money from it. Please can you advise the best way?
Dont want equity release (too young) dont want to sell (love home) partner is unable to work at present due to cancer. Please can someone advise me?

    You can either go to your current lender or, if you can find a more competitive deal to cover the whole amount, you can go to a different lender. This is assuming your income is enough to cover the new loan amount you are looking to take out.

    ;) Thanks very much was hoping you would say this, do I call and ask for a total remortgage package or a top up? Thanks. I do hope they will agree as am with a good B Soc dont really want to change them.
