Argos Delivery Help

I placed an order from Argos on 22 July (only home delivery available). That time Argos said they would contact me by 24 Aug to arrange the delivery. So I waited and waited until 24 Aug....finally I got a voice message from Argos saying due to delays, my delivery will now be re-arranged to 25 Sep!! That's another month to go!!
The thing is we are really desperate for the goods!! The order is for a dining table and 6 chairs set. We just moved to a new house and have no where to dine.....we've been dining on our laps/floors for a month now. And I am 36 weeks preganent with another 2 year old son, so a dining table would really help!!!
I've tried to call Argos twice, both times i was on hold for 45 minutes......please anyone can help? What can I do in this situation? complaint? refund? either way I won't get my table delivered on time...I really need it!!!

Hi we were in a similar position when we ordered a treadmill last year. Was given a 5 day delivery which extended to 2 months with no guarantees that they wouldnt extend it again
I had a chat with customer services and they eventually offered me a free upgrade of an extra £70 to choose another treadmill.
Unfortunately if the item is not a stocked item & they have difficulty obtaining it from their supplier, then you may have to wait it out. I know it's frustrating trying to get through on the phone, try ringing as soon as they open
Hope you get sorted0
