Is anyone able to help me with some advice. I bought a washer/dryer from dixons online shop. It was delivered yesterday and i got someone in to fit it but it was only once it had been fitted that i realised there was a big dent with a scratch within it at the bottom of the washer/dryer. It is right at the front so it can't be ignored and i'm not exactly sure how i missed seeing it before it was fitted. I have phone the company and they are happy to exchange for a different one HOWEVER - i forgot to tell them that when it was being fitted, the plug had to be chopped off to get the electrical line through a cupboard hole and then a new plug was fitted on as the plug that came with the machine was a moulded plug - do you think they will refuse to take the machine and gove me the new one when they see the dismembered plug??
Can anyone advise here please!?!?!

I dont think the delivery people will notice that a new plug has been fitted, why dont you repack the cable and plug in a carrier bag - and sellotape it to the machine.
Sure it will be fineIf at first you don't succeed - destroy all evidence that you tried.0 -
Just to add to alictait's advice - do make sure that they don't see that the plug has been chopped off, a friend had a similar prob with a new, but faulty, extractor fan and they refused to exchange it because of the plug - they said she had invalidated her warranty by cutting the fitted one off. Not sure who she bought it from though...0
