Anyone got a hidden gem they would like to share?
Im looking for a nice self catering cottage anywhere in Ireland, pref not too far down, ie Cork!
Looking for a weekend break in mid september, something maybe thatched and within driving distance of something for small children
( swimming pool, water park, zoo, walks, forests...... )
Ive looked online but there are so many to choose from,
Any one previous experience?
Thanks

Hi try Dream Ireland. Shamrock cottages and Skye cottages -- some lovely cottages. Dream Ireland seem to have some good offers on at the minute. HTH0

I stayed at this cottage in the west coast of Donegal. It's really lovely, a real step back in time with log fire make you feel as if you're stepping back in time! A view of the mountain on one side of the cottage and sea views on the other. No TV but plenty of board games for family fun times and makes for a nice, relaxing time. It's advertised in the local press. Here's the ad:
DONEGAL COASTAL cottage to rent near heritage town of Ardara. Stunning scenery and beautiful walks – beaches, waterfall and caves nearby. Three miles to town. Sleeps six. Phone 07780 221641.0
