  • Finger foods are cool as they entertain the child for awhile so you can actually eat your own lunch, which is a BIG deal. Is your LO a messy wotsit with her finger food? Mine is a right cheeky cheeky poppet and frequently blows raspberries in a bid to expel any unwanted food. Lovely! Cleaning is a constant battle in our house too.

What cheap and healthy meals for your LO have you come up with?? The Gosling has had two different kinds of pasta two days on the trot now! I do try and have my meal at the same time and share but it doesn't always work out like that does it?

  • Finger foods.....she'll eat pretty much anything and she's deffo a carb fiend like her mummy:o Bread & pasta and I have a happy little Fuzzlet:D I don't put any sauces on the pasta though, too much salt and I'm too lazy to try & make my own:o
Foodwise, if we have a casserole or something thats cooked from scratch I will scoop a bit out before adding the spices etc and leave it cooking in a smaller pan then once cooled I 'fridge it' keeps for a couple of days and she has casserole or whatever for the next 2 days. I've also found grated cheese is a good fun finger food, the amount of cheese stuck on the wall is quite impressive:rotfl::rotfl: Cleaning is definitely a continuing battle, flylady bingo on FB has helped though, its quite addictive if you're the competitive sort;):o:)
Generally when Fuzzlet goes to childminder she takes ummm... jars with her:o Oh and jam sandwiches are a hit too, bonus! I keep trying her with savoury sandwich spreads too and the strong flavoured ones are going down a treat..she even likes the salmon one:eek: and she's discovered the delights of Korma, if you can't tell GG I give her pretty much anything that I eat(to see if she likes it or not) I've stopped worrying so much about the preservatives etc...if they were that bad half of us would be dead by now, everything in moderation is the general rule :)

This weekend was at my sister for my nephews 8th birthday! I really do not feel old enough to have an 8yr old nephew..*sigh* but it was quite a frugal weekend other than that, nephews bday pressie cost me the grand total of £5:j Gotta love vouchers:D Managed to put 1 item on ebay and, get this, I even washed the windows:eek::T admittedly it was only inside and only in the living room but they got done which is a miracle in itself...other than that I've just kept on top of the daily chores, despite doing my new cleaning rota I just haven't kept to it..can't believe I fell at the 1st hurdle :( BUT I have an extra day off tomorrow as the ILs are off on jollidays so Fuzzlet has no where to go so it looks like mummy & baby cleaning day, ok I clean as she leaves a trail of destruction in her wake! Can't wait til she's toddling and can actually help me do things:D
