It was in the current catalogue, instore. I looked it up when I made my reservation on the keypad thingy. It was definitely listed, and came automatically at the till.

I collected my lego tub yesterday and received a free base plate. I didn't even know this was part of the offer. It was a nice surprise.

I can see the offer online for the pink box but not the blue.

Brilliant!! I have just the police station on order from Amazon for I thought a bargain £53 but this blows it out the water as it has all + extras..

Tried to reserve at Toys-R-us but not had confirmation email yet fingers crossed. Amazon one will be going back.

Offer is mentioned on page 1600 of the current Argos catalouge, although info is very vague.

Did you buy the pink box? Because on my receipt it appears the pink box did not trigger the offer, yet the blue box did. Some people have had no problems with either box in their local Argos so it's probably a glitch only in certain stores.

The catalouge number for the free plate is: 909/5889, though don't bother trying to look it up online as it doesn't exist on the Argos website. You need to try this number instore on their checker machines to see if there's any stock available. A real pain not being able to check on-line before making a potential wasted journey into town.
