Christmas Lunch?

Hi,
I've been reading the christmas threads and getting all inspired!
I just wondered what you all have and like to have on your christmas lunch?!
Sounds a little silly thinking of this already, but I see there a few people getting organised already so I didn't think you'd mind me asking!

I just wondered if there was anything I could try and maybe add to my Christmas dinner this year.

Thank you
MFW.....Apr 33 Aim - Dec 26

We're having roast duck with all the good stuff plus Yorkshire puddings, then an eggnog cheesecake for dessert. Nomnomnom.

I love homemade bread sauce. Don't know what we'll do this year though as we have a new arrival joining us this year so I doubt we'll be cooking a full dinner :)

We tried brussel sprouts with roasted chesnuts and pancetta last year. Loved it and I hate brussels, lol!

We always take a vote, which can mean turkey and all the trimmings, or it can mean fish and chips or steak pie. This year we'll have a newborn baby, so MrQ is cooking and I think that will probably mean the vote is off and we're having roast chicken, roast potatoes and a huge pile of sprouts.

If I get Mr_knight to cook (I am Mrs but can't change my username :)) then it will be either a baked bean toastie or spag bol. My mum is coming to stay on 28th December so I might pospone xmas until then and ask her very nicely to cook me a lovely christmas dinner :) Might have some other family too so could be nice.

    I've been Money Tipped!
we alternate each year between gammon and lamb as neither of us like turkey.

its lambs turn this year and it will be well minted with all the trimmings followed by either a chocolate cheescake (morrisons do the best imo) or millionaires cheesecake (i love marks and spencers)

we only really have the one meal on xmas day and tend to eat leftovers/pick from the stuff in the fridge on the night

I stay with a friend & her family who cooks all the traditional things! The puds are great usually a choice of home made christmas pud, exotic fresh fruit salad (with fresh mango & pineapple as well as the usual apple, orange etc) and a wonderful Black Forest trifle- might be a Delia recipe?
(The starters and main course are wonderful too! except for the sprouts)
