Scottish Court - Time to Pay / Time order

Options
I've received court papers and have two options as above to pay a debt to cheque centre (exckuding paying it off in one or disputing debt). Does anyone have any experience of this system and which would be the best option to go for?

  • I think you'd be better asking for time to pay but most Scottish courts have a solicitor in house, worth giving them a ring, not much good for complicated stuff but if you just need time to pay worth checking that you are doing the right thing. Shelter's website also has some good info on debt and court proceedings and its in plain English, which a lot of the stuff about Scottish law isn't.
