I work for Dixons Retail and we had an email from HO stating that if someone who had previously purchased a hp touchpad at full cost returned to store asking for the difference then we could process it as hp would give us the difference back. dont know if this will apply to other companies too?

Op. Misco should refund but like Dabs as they are aimed at business so a refund isn't as quick as buying from a store.

The argos exclusion as always applied to this product.
  • I got my fully priced touchpad delivered by Currys today and called them up to get a refund. I was advised that the product was sold at the full price and I would not be eligible for a refund. I had the option of returning it for a full refund. Curry's would send a courier to collect it so that they can then sell it again at the reduced price. I cannot see how this makes business sense.

I got one from Dixons (which is part of the same group) and they refunded the difference no problem.
  • Cancel the order with them. If they don't answer the number given I would go absolutely mental, this is totally illegal. Write to them instead if they won't answer. Either way, you've exercised your right to cancel under DSR. They have to refund whether you return the item or not. And they have to refund all the monies paid at the start, including postage, the person who says they don't is mistaken.

Ordered from Argos yesterday morning for delivery next week. Called up this morning stating the new price and was immediately refunded £314 without any problems.

Just to make all of you who brought before the price drop Argos has now put the "†" (excluded from 30 day guarantee) next to the titles.
    Naughty argos

You are criticizing Argos or not allowing people to return goods so that they can repurchase them at a cheaper price?

NO as Argos are refunding difference for those that bought at full price anyway. I didnet even have to phone up to ask they called me to let me know!
  • Contacted Amazon they say it was on offer for a short time but hard luck if you purchased it for any more. Every time I look its got dearer at one point the 32 gb was cheaper than the 16 . Not good Amazon.
