Silk flower bouquets

Hi all.

I am thinking of having silk flowers for my bridesmaid bouquet, but do want good quality stems (and cheap goes without saying! :money: ) I know some people have brought fake flowers off eBay etc, and wondered who you used and how good you found them?

Thanks for all your help!

Thanks, I did look at that but the person recommended on eBay doesn't seem to do flowers anymore. I had a look at silk wedding designs but don't really do flowers by the stem, and don't seem to do fake greenery... Do other places?
I would like to make them up myself...

What flower by the stem are you after?

I got single stem burgundy and white (and ivory but I didn't use them) gerberas from SWD. I also got a bit of greenery from Dunelm. This is my attempt at my bouquet:

Well I am thinking orange calla lilies and maybe red berries. We are having an autumn theme, so am looking for autumny flowers. So maybe sunflowers as well? Maybe I don't need green bits!? I did want real flowers, but I think for the bridesmaids bouquet might as well have fake! I don't really know what I want, there is so much choice! Am leaning towards what is cheapest!

I can't vouch for their calla lillies but they have some:

(They sell them in batches of 5 or individually).
  • I just posted in another part earlier about how I have saved money on my flowers.
I am doing the tables myself with clear glass vases from Tesco - just filling them with colour and am hoping to make my own bouquets.
I got the flowers from a wholesaler called Nursery Fresh Wholesale Flowers and their florists have offered to do them for me if I bottle it! Although I really do want to try myself.
I have seen a really simple bouquet with just 3 layered Calla lilies and foliage - anyway they have sold and sent me a bunch to practice on!!
    We will see!!!!!

i got oasis floristry colour spray to get the pink as they didnt sell that colour.

think in total for my flowers, 4 bridesmaids, 2 flower girls, 6 tables and 20 button holes was less than £50 including ribbon, crystal pins etc, so it can be done cheaply!
