My last payment....
After five and a half years long hard slog I am finally nearly there. I feel like I have run a marathon with a huge anchor on my shoulders... can feel it slowly slipping off my shoulders and it's about to slide right off into the sea this Friday...
I aim to never ever take out another loan, especially one that somewhere in the small print they states 'our policy states we may increase or decrease the payments or percentage as when we deem necessary' ... I mean why did I sign that! Talk about giving a company a blank cheque! Of course they only increased the payments, never decreased....
Last year when I became a bit more affluent, I even increased my loan monthly repayment to try and pay it off more quickly however due to their 'policy' above it still took an extra 3 months!
I was grateful to receive the money, it allowed me to have a very fancy holiday in Vegas where I blew it all Red 32 .... kidding... but I was grateful, it allowed me to pay much higher debts and live from month without losing my house.
I just wanted to say to everyone who is currently on the loan hamster wheel of death... keep at it, there is an ending, there is light at the end of the tunnel and it's not a whistling locomotive....
I thought I would never see the end of this loan, I can hardly believe there is one payment left. I'll now have an extra £335 a month in hand. wow, haven't had that since I can't remember when.
Keep at it folks, you'll get there.

Sorry for the drivel... you're probably asleep and not reading this anymore...:rotfl:
Fantastic news Jill !!:T
I cant even remember what my loan was for,it started off just a small one, then the phone calls came asking if I want a top up,I always said yes:(
BUT NOT ANYMORE!!:T
£157 per month for the next 5 years and then i,ll be posting just like you!.I can see light at the end of the tunnel Jill,so glad you made it,save it or spend it wisely,no forget that, just save it for something really special.
I love happy endings!!0 -

I know... isn't it absolutely ridiculous! I was a fool to not read it and take it out.. I mean really it could have gone up to anywhere.
I was grateful for the money when I needed it but even more grateful that I'm about to pay it off for good.0 -
