Would this give double points at Tesco?

Had a thought over the weekend. If you buy a gift voucher at Tescos and then spend the voucher in store would you get double points?

Sorry, am I missing something, what do you mean? Why do you think you'd get double points in the first place?
You may walk and you may run
You leave your footprints all around the sun
And every time the storm and the soul wars come
    You just keep on walking

Oh right for buying it then using it? If so I don't think (but might be wrong) you get points on vouchers in the first place. Like lottery and cigs and stamps?

    Hmm. I get your point.

Technically - I'd guess 'yes'. If you bought the voucher, you'd get the points at the till; if you then gave it to someone and they used it, they'd get the points too, surely. So if you were doing this for yourself [not as a gift] to increase your points, logic would dictate that you would get double points!

    I am just guessing though.
  • why not just open a clubcard plus account if you still can

I'll wait for my points statement but I have a feeling this would result in double points.

The person who buys the voucher does not get any points, the till does not accept the clubcard when buying vouchers.

It is the person who uses the voucher that gets the points.

I tried this when i bought £50 vouchers as Christmas gifts
