Dixons are selling the Sharp 42" LC42XD1E for £1099
(it is listed at £1499 on currys)
This does proper 'true' HD, 1920x1080 so seems like a steal
There are codes to reduce this by £20 or more + free delivery.

The 42" doesn't suffer from banding, only the 46 and 52"0

Luckily, I have read it all. I actually had two of the 42" screens, both went back due to excessive ghosting, but the one in their shop was perfect! If you can get a good one, then you wont be dissapointed.0
