Best pore minimiser?

I have a lot of open pores now - what are the best products

- to actually reduce them

or to disguise them?

Thanks

  • Depending on how much you want to spend, the best thing I've ever found is Clinique Pore Minimiser Instant Perfector. It made my pores look a lot smaller - I bought a sample size from ebay so that could be worth a try if you don't want to pay for a full size one straight away. Also putting primer under foundation really helps disguise them. I use Smashbox oil free primer but probably most oil free primers would do the same job.

  • Avon Magix Face Perfector is fantastic. I buy it from ebay unless Avon has an offer on it.

I second the vote for Clinique. Very good and a little goes a long way. Best to try a sample if you have darker skin and largish pores though - it's quite pale in colour and on close inspection 'sits' in the pores and is sometimes visible against dark skin.

  • I'm using Boots No7 Pore Refining Serum at the moment, ask for a sample in store and try before you buy.

I like the Benefit primer. "The Porefessional" Very good at minimising pores and feels beautiful on your skin.

I'd look at what you're washing your face with too OP. Many cleansers make my pores bigger and clogged. Try using non-comedogenic cleansers like http://www.boots.com/en/Eucerin-Purifyer-Cleanser-200ml_954655/ and generally beware of cleansers which promise to blast oil into the stratosphere because more than likely, it'll actually do the reverse.

As for products which actually minimize the appearance of pores, have a go with this: http://www.thebodyshop.co.uk/_en/_gb/catalog/product.aspx?ParentCatCode=C_SkinCare&CatCode=C_SkinCare_Moisturisers&prdcode=48407m. A little goes a very long way so it's not as expensive as it appears.

Another one for Clinique - I think there is a deal on just now on the Debenhams website if you buy 2 skin care products you get a bag of freebies:j.
