Xenical and Slimming World

hi

at WI this week, i have just lost 1lb,

i have been at SW for 7 weeks, the first 6 weeks i lost a total of 18lb and then last week my GP puts me on Xenical and i would have hoped with loosing 2 / 3lbs just doing SW, that when doing both it and Xenical i would boost my loss to 3 / 4lbs,

i was very very good at following both plans and the xenical "rules" this week, and did 12 hours of body magic so i am a little disappointed,

next week is a holiday week, so any tips for the next week anyone who has tried xenical and SW?

Thanks, Piggy ;)

18lbs in 7 weeks! Thats fab! Sounds to me like you dont actually need the xenical

1-2lbs per week is the recommended, safe way to lose weight. Any faster than that, you are more likely to pile it back on again, and then some.

1-2lbs per week is more likely to stay off

You almost always lose more weight in the first few weeks of a diet than as you progress. And if you're also generally doing more exercise then you will be building up your muscles so you may see less weight gain but will be better toned. As queen says, 1-2lbs is a recommended weight loss and if you're toning up then clothes will fit better etc even if the weight loss isn't so apparent.
Just remember for your holiday week that you still have to be careful on the Xenical as you could suffer some pretty nasty embarassment otherwise!

You're doing well though it often feels very slow. You're currently losing weight at the rate of about 4 stone a year, you might feel better thinking of it that way.

Xenical works on ingested fat, if you are following a low fat plan, it wont have much to work on so wont be making a huge difference.

while i kinda understand how it all works...it does say in the box that it does work better on a low calorie diet...so i am a wee bit miffed that i had better losses witout it...ahhh well....will hang on in there...i didnt really take it much over the week i was on holidays, so i didnt have to suffer the side effects, tho i cant realy expect it to have worked then....weigh in tonite will tell the tale!
