You can also get them with boxes. I got about 3 points for each box.

You have to ask the checkout person if they have added your green points for recycling as some forget to add them or don't notice you have recycled your old bags.
  • i worked out the other day that so far during this statement period i should have earned about 50 green points but have 15.

the cashiers just don't bother adding them on and when you remind them they say they can't do it now as they've gone past that bit on the till so i have to go to customer service. which as you know, the queue is usually about 10 long so i end up not bothering....

and apparantly i was informed if you go in with a wheelbarrow you get 10 green point, havent seen anyone do that yet but am thinking it would be amusing, mmmmmm might see if tesco are selling wheelbarrows cheap buy one and get them to assemble it put my shopping in it after its been scanned then go to the car, dismantle it and put shopping in car, actually no thats too much hassle, lol
on todays receipt it said that any fresh fish or whole food products bought today will have the points added on to the may account, so not sure what thats about

  • I always hand over my tesco clubcard and say "......and I have brought x carriers of my own", and they put them down before scanning my shopping. I find this works OK.

  • NEXT Carrier bags are BRILLIANT for this. About the size / thickness of the "Bag for life" carriers that Tesco do, and the Checkout girl gives me 3pts per bag :)
"Getting Married" - The act of betting half of everything you own on the fact you will love someone forever :rotfl:
  • So does it depend on size of carrier how many points they give you?

I seem to get my added on even if I don't bring any of my old bags with me. And the few times I did I had to ask for them to be added.

Seems to be quite random at my local Tesco.
  • I think you get more points for using reusable bags. I have a sainsburys thick bag and a few bags for life and tend to get 10 points added for using both bags!
