grrrr capital one.

I sent the 14 day letter to them to claim back charges and it was the 14th day on Friday. On Saturday I received a letter saying it will take 28 days for them to investigate.

Is there anything I can do to speed them up or do I have to wait 28 days??

If the original letter stated that you require a response within 14 days then there isn't much you can do if it's a day late because you can't guarantee the royal mail unless the letter was sent recorded delivery. You'll just have to wait the 28 days and hope that they get back to you sooner!

I would just ignore their letter and send them the next letter on - the letter before action. You gave them 14 days and they should respond within 14 days. The letter they have sent you is a standard one. In my experience of Capital One it should be resolved with the next letter.
