Rossendales & Virgin Media

I've heard alot about Rossendales on here and have to admit they are persistant.
I was contacted by Rossendales afew months ago, regarding Virgin Media (I left them) I had already set up a payment plan with VM, then suddenly recieved these letters from Rossendales.
I called them straight away, explained my situation and they agreed to my payment plan, they requested my official CAB fianancial statement, which I emailed to them (they requested it be emailed over).
A week passes I get a nasty letter telling me I had to pay the whole amount owed, I wasnt having none of that and emailed them back, explaining that I had spoke to someone about this and had also sent a FS. I got no reply.
Another week passes, another letter shows up, I send another email. No reply.
This has been going on for god knows how long now, now they have sent a letter "Notice of Visit".
I have in my email area all of the emails I have sent to them and I cant assure you I wouldnt appreciate a visit.
Suggestions?

i assume this hasnt gone to court?
if they turn up then just tell them to go away. acting as debt collectors they have no powers to do anything.
send by emailPlease be advised that I will only communicate with you in writing.
Furthermore, should it be your intention to arrange further “doorstep calls”, please be advised that under OFT rules, you can only visit me at my home if you make an appointment and I have no wish to make such an appointment with you.
There is only an implied license under English Common Law for people to be able to visit me on my property without express permission; the postman and people asking for directions etc (Armstrong v Sheppard & Short Ltd [1959] 2 QB 384. per Lord Evershed M.R.).
Therefore take note that I revoke license under Common Law for you, or your representatives to visit me at my property and, if you do so, you will be liable to damages for a tort of trespass and action will be taken, including but not limited to, police attendance.
add that you have noticed that they have ignored you previous emails and letters and continued to press for paymnet in full when you are unable to do so. that is against oft guidlines so you will be reporting them to the oft and trading standards0 -
Thanks nottoolate,
Will email them the second I finish posting this. No it hasnt gone to court yet, but have to admit I'm sick of being ignored. I didnt have a urge to phone up, but like my dad says "I easliy blow a gasket" and I dont fancy making it worse.
Thanks again!0 -
What you could also do, is print off a copy of all emails, do a hard copy of the above letter and send to them, recorded or special delivery and get proof of receipt from the Royal Mail...
that way they can't claim to lose emails etc as you have also sent a hard copy... Debt free date ????
